Guitarist Howard Abel is a Vancouver, BC native who began his music studies at the age of twelve, debuting professionally by age seventeen, and furthering his musical education at Capilano University. Afterwards, he gained valuable playing experience playing alongside members of the B.B. King, Muddy Waters, James Cotton, and Powder Blues bands, touring extensively throughout North America. Additionally, he has performed on cruise ships in the Caribbean and Mexico.
In Vancouver, he is the principal guitarist for several jazz and pop ensembles. Besides his public performances, he is also an in-demand solo guitarist for private and corporate events – featuring jazz, classical, pop, blues, folk, and Latin styles.
